Grandy
Wife, Mother, Auntie,
Grandparent and Friend.
So special you were to all of us,
We’re sad your life has come to an end.
You were generous, warm,
Full of life and kind.
I remember how much you loved to watch
“Young and the Restless” to unwind.
Your love of sport and shopping
And your tasty meatball curry.
On a trip round Romford Market,
To come home, you were in no hurry.
I remember you used to babysit us
On an occasional weekend,
Sharing tales from your Danielle Steele books;
The storytelling we would not want to end.
All the dancing, music and sports shows,
Birthdays and celebrations.
You can guarantee that you were there,
Telling us we were “sensations”.
And the many many times
We came a knocking at your door,
When Tootsie would come running out
And you would say “Oorr Horr!!”
As you can see you have touched our lives
In more ways than I can say.
There is part of you in each of us
And this will NEVER go away.
We will miss you forever,
In our fond memories we will keep you now.
No more suffering, you’ve gone to a better place,
Knowing that will keep us going somehow.
